Vishakha Polyfab, one of India’s leading manufacturers of high-performance barrier films, really stood out at IFFA 2025 because of its new and eco-friendly food packaging ideas. Marking its third time at the event, the company used this global show to grow its business partnerships, reach more people in the market, and show how its new packaging products work best for the food and protein industries.

Under the leadership of CMD Mr. Jigish Doshi and with the help of a hard-working team, Vishakha has put money into companies that are good for the future and has grown quickly in its operations. The company’s team from all over the world is constantly coming up with new ideas and making products that make our daily lives better. Vishakha is a leader in making flexible packaging, using solar energy that’s good for the environment, building ways to move goods, making drip irrigation systems and pipes, making plastic coverings for farming, and other similar products.

A legacy of excellence in flexible packaging

Vishakha has carved a niche as a pioneer in flexible packaging.

“We are one of India’s largest producers of barrier films. Our offerings cater to a wide range of applications, including food, non-food, industrial, and agricultural packaging solutions, i.e., liquid packaging, protein, semi-liquid packaging, and more.”

      – Ankit Doshi, Director, Vishakha.

With production facilities in India and an additional plant in Indonesia, Vishakha boasts a global capacity of approximately 48,600+ tons of flexible plastic packaging films.

IFFA 2025 marks Vishakha’s third participation in the event. The decision to return was strategic.

“We are a promising Indian player in the global export market, with our products reaching over 20 countries. IFFA is a fantastic platform to connect with existing clients, meet new partners, and explore deeper opportunities in the food and non-food packaging sectors.”

      – Doshi,

Innovation at the forefront: Solutions that preserve and protect

At IFFA 2025, Vishakha showcased its extensive portfolio of advanced packaging solutions.

“This year, our focus is on films for cheese, protein foods, and shelf-life extension. A key highlight is our recyclable packaging portfolio—thermoforming vacuum pouches, recyclable barrier films, and printed films for food and non-food segments.”

“These multilayer films are essential for extending shelf life, especially in Western markets where supermarkets stock a wide variety of perishable foods. Our solutions can preserve freshness for one to three weeks, or even longer.”

      – Mr. Doshi added.

Among the standout innovations were the company’s 7-layer and 9-layer barrier films, engineered to offer superior protection against oxygen and moisture.

Expertise in vacuum, MAP, and thermoforming packaging

With over 24 years of expertise, Vishakha has become a trusted partner in vacuum packaging, modified atmosphere packaging (MAP), and thermoforming packaging technologies.Packaging Solutions

“We have been producing vacuum packaging films for decades, and our customers value the reliability and performance they deliver,”

      – Mr. Doshi.

These technologies are essential for meat and protein processors looking to extend product shelf life and maintain quality during storage and transport. In addition to performance, sustainability remains a core focus at Vishakha.

“Our goal is to reduce plastic usage without compromising functionality. We offer high-performance, sustainable packaging that addresses both environmental and business functional needs.”

      – Mr. Doshi.

Adherence to global food safety standards

At Vishakha, food safety standards are a top priority.

“All our products are manufactured using food-compliant materials that meet global standards, i.e., EU and U.S.,”

      – Mr. Doshi emphasized.

The company holds globally recognized certifications, including BRC, ISO, Kosher, and Halal—assuring compliance with the highest safety and quality standards

      Sustainable and recyclable barrier packaging

Vishakha’s commitment to sustainability is long-standing.

“In 2018, we were the first in India to introduce recyclable barrier films for liquid packaging in collaboration with DOW Chemical International. Today, our barrier-material films are recyclable and designed to meet both performance and sustainability requirements.”

Vishakha’s customer base is especially in the food sector. “Also, our recyclable offerings are integral to our circular economy vision, helping customers reduce plastic waste while maintaining product integrity.”

Balancing cost, performance, and sustainability is a top priority. “We combine advanced technologies, high-quality polymers, and efficient machinery with a skilled workforce to deliver cost-effective, high-performance solutions.”

      – Mr. Doshi shared.

      Eyeing Europe and beyond

When it comes to Vishakha’s global strategy, Europe plays a particularly important role.

“We don’t focus on just one region; we export to over 20 countries. However, Europe is a key market for us because it demands advanced packaging solutions like MAP and barrier films made from materials like nylon and EVOH.”

“Vishakha is actively engaging with European distributors and food processors, seeking collaborations that can expand their presence in the region. We already have several distributors and customers in Europe, and we are engaging with new ones at IFFA. It’s an essential market for us, and this show is a great opportunity to strengthen our relationships and explore new collaborations.”

      – Mr. Doshi

A future-focused pipeline for innovation and expansion

Innovation continues to drive Vishakha’s strategic roadmap. We are expanding capacity and adding new information, Mr. Doshi. The company is expanding across the globe by adding new and improved machinery and facilities in India (Gujarat-West, Kolkata-East) and Indonesia.

      Strong reception at IFFA 2025

Vishakha has witnessed strong engagement at IFFA 2025.

“We have had meaningful interactions with both existing clients and potential partners; IFFA consistently proves to be an important event for us.”

For Vishakha, IFFA is not merely a trade fair—it is a vital platform for showcasing innovation, building relationships, and reinforcing its role in shaping the future of food packaging. “As long as you have the right capabilities and infrastructure, platforms like IFFA can be transformative,”

      – Mr. Doshi.

With its unwavering focus on quality, sustainability, and innovation, Vishakha is well-positioned to lead the evolution of global food packaging solutions.
