One such initiative has also been adopted by Pizza Hut which includes the appointment of ‘Trust Champions’ at each of its outlets throughout India.  Their main duty is to assure that stores and staff are strictly following the safety and hygiene measures recommended by the government and WHO, in the kitchen and dining areas in view of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.  They are also accountable to ensure that social distancing is being maintained in stores by each and every person in order to provide a safe, clean and worry-free experience to the consumers.  This is vital to achieve business continuity in the current situation.

The major reforms adopted to efficiently ensure a seamless and secure experience to the consumers include-

– The brand has adopted all regulatory regulations and guidelines issued by the government, WHO and FSSAI from time to time.  These include- thermal screening of employees and customers, compulsory use of face masks and gloves, hand to be washed every 30 minutes and disinfecting of all kitchen surfaces, packaging boxes, delivery bags and vehicles regularly.

– The brand has been lucid about how the food is prepared, packed and delivered via its end-to-end contactless strategies across platforms, which subsequently grants the much-needed assurance and safety to customers that they are consuming the food which has not been touched by infected hand.  Training has also been provided to the restaurant staff by the company regarding the use of upgraded safety and hygiene guidelines via either offline or digital sessions.

– Also, daily checks by restaurants is being done and inspection by area coaches are performed at quarterly basis to make sure that food safety, restaurant hygiene and brand standards are understood as main priority and practiced strictly by all working employees.
