Tetra pack tubular heat exchange product has turned out to be the very first product in the category to receive the EHEDG certification. This Tetra pack food safety equipment is pioneer in meeting all the safety standards in Europe.
Heat exchanger, particularly the tubular ones are used to process liquid food and considered to be the safer ones. Heat exchangers are the crucial component of the processing line because of its high heat conceiving property and foul in food are most likely to occur here. Advanced engineering and innovative ideas are highly employed to minimise the loopholes at this area of process line.
EHEDG is one of the important regulator and director to promote the food safety by ameliorating the older technologies and making them more pragmatic for coming time.
Component testing of Tetra Pak with EHEDG was started in 2018 and later on certain modifications were done to meet the suggestions poured in by EHEDG. Company introduced super-hygienic seal with improved fit and shape that uses materials approved by EU and FDA. Later on, trailing tests of several stages were done in 2019 and 2020. And this Tubular heat exchanger comes out to be the first to acquire EHEDG certification.
Jimmy Moons, global commercial product manager, Tetra Pak said, “At Tetra Pak hygienic standards are essential, and during a time when our industry faces rapid changes, hygienic design is becoming critical for our customers. This work is an example of how we continually invest in research to ensure the most efficient and reliable heat treatment possible, which is especially key with Heat Exchangers which are important to maintain and clean. The Tetra Pak Tubular Heat Exchanger is the first to receive the certification from EHEDG for the tube modules, which is also in accordance with the new EHEDG standards.”
Tubular Heat Exchangers are used to process liquid dairy products, beverages, and infant formula as well as many other food applications.
