Suviana is a New Delhi based business venture that was established in 2020 by Nitin Malik, a former textile merchant and a real estate developer. Being an avid traveller, who has visited several locations across the globe for both business and recreational purposes, he had come across several healthy snacking options that are available in those countries and felt that the same could be replicated in India to satiate the rising appetite of the Gen Z consumers. Currently, Suviana produces and sells a range of healthy snack products that can be consumed throughout the day by consumers belonging to all age groups.
Nitin Malik, Founder of Suviana had a chat with Claus from Food Infotech, wherein, he shared more details about his brand, including the reasons behind venturing into the food business a couple of years ago, the products launched by their brand recently in the market and a few more.

1. Could you start off by letting us know more about yourself and your brand?
Basically, I am a textile merchant and a real estate developer. As a person who has travelled extensively for business and recreational purposes to several parts of the globe, I had noticed that there was a wide range of snacking options that were being made available at the grocery shops, supermarkets for the consumers. Suviana was started after I became convinced of the fact that there is an opportunity to build my own brand locally that can produce and sell a wide range of healthy snacks, including other Ready to Eat products for the consumers.
2. Where is your Manufacturing facility located? Any plans to establish a new facility in the coming days?
Currently, our Manufacturing Facility is located at Delhi. Our baking machines and equipment are of gold standard and have been delivering the desired results for us, which has so far helped us in consistently ensuring the delivery of all of our products that are not only tasty, but also of superior quality to our consumers. As of today, we are looking to grow and increase our customer base and we would be taking a call on setting up a new facility based on the market demand for our products and other external factors.
3. A little on any of your recent product launches in the market.
Recently, we have launched Pita Chips that are available in 3 different flavours, namely Olive & Herbs, Roasted Garlic and Chipotle. Consumers can binge on these snacks anytime during the day.
4. Can you let us know the various channels you’ve been using to make available your range of products in the market?
Currently, we have our own set of distributors who have been making available our range of products for sale in the market in different areas in the city, such as Khan Market, Chanakyapuri, Defence Colony, Vasant Vihar, Hauz Khas, Green Park, including in a few more places in New Delhi. We have also been marketing our range of products to the consumers through the online channel as well and the results have been encouraging for us. We are confident and hopeful of growing our business faster through this medium.
5. Can you tell us about your target audience for your range of products?
Our products can be consumed by individuals belonging to all age groups right from teenagers to adults.
6. A bit on your recent product innovations in the Market for us?
Recently, we have introduced Tahini, which is a condiment prepared using sesame seeds. It is popularly used in West Asian nations, particularly in Middle Eastern cuisines. It is one of the primary ingredients that is being used in making hummus.
The other has been our baked pita chips, which I would consider to be the first ever authentic pita chips that are being made available by us in the country.
7. How are you trying to stay relevant in this highly fragmented and competitive Indian Market?
All our products are of Gourmet quality and I am confident that we would be able to grow and create our own and loyal customer base significantly in the coming days.
8. Please tell us your plans for 2023.
As of today, we plan to grow further in the market and want to reach out to more consumers spread across the country through our products. We are hopeful of achieving bigger growth in the coming days. We have set some realistic growth targets and once we are in the position to achieve our targeted growth rate, we plan to shift to a bigger facility and would be acquiring more space for running our operations.
