The European pharmaceutical machinery producer Romaco is striving to gain a more robust foray in China by diversifying its operations division at the China facility in Changsha. Stefan Auernig has been designated as new general manager of the operations.
Holding this new role, he will be accountable for the solids process center as well as for the manufacture and development of technologies in China. Being the general manager, Auernig will share the functioning of the company with David Shi, who is in-charge of sales and service center in Shanghai. It is settled on the site of Truking, the parent company of the group.
Jörg Pieper, CEO of Romaco Group stated- “Stefan Auernig’s appointment as the new GM-Operations of Romaco China goes together with the steady increment in demand for Romaco products in China and Asia. By multiplying our local production capacity in this manner, we are creating optimum conditions for further growth. I am optimistic that Auernig, who has a proven track record in the Chinese economic and business community, will carry on this development drive very efficaciously.”
Before joining the company, Auernig spent many years in management positions at European comapnies in China. A native of Austria, he led the Quality, Purchasing and Logistics departments of Marti EPC Limited, a Swiss-based machinery and plant engineering brand. Most recently, he was handling the Quality management at the Chinese branch of Zwilling J.A. Henckels in Shanghai. Mr. Auernig has a Master’s degree in Production Science and Management from Graz University of Technology.
Dr Kuldeep Bhokare has been designated as the new director processing. India-born Dr Bhokare has a doctorate in Pharmacy from Shivaji University along with a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Annamalai University. Earlier, he worked for 12.5 years at Abbott, the international pharmaceutical group. Amongst other things, he was overseeing Global product design, development and technology transfer at Abbott’s Innovation and Development Centre, Mumbai. He will serve as Director of the processing laboratory in Changsha and also look after training of laboratory technicians.
Ralph Gross is a skilled processing technology specialist, who came from Germany to China for job reasons over six years ago. Gross was chosen as the director of the company’s China Customer Centre, which belongs to the Solids Process Centre, at the end of 2020. His roles there comprise carrying out the FATs and SATs for all products which are made in Changsha. He also leads the China Technical Service department in Shanghai. Previously, Gross was serving for over eleven years as Product and Quality Assurance Manager at GEA Lyophil. He possesses degrees in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from the University of Ilmenau.
Jörg Pieper emphasizes- “Messrs. Auernig, Bhokare and Gross will be a great reinforcement for our Romaco China team. The joint proficiency of our three new recruits in the fields of quality, processing and service will have largely positive influence on Romaco’s branding and status in the Chinese market.”
