Siwar Foods has inked an exclusive private label and distributor deal with French company Sarl So Mochi to market and distribute a world-class assortment of Mochi ice creams in the Middle East, with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as the first market.

The mochi are made of dough that is wrapped around a centre of delectable, quality ice cream and sweet rice flour that is crushed into a soft and chewy texture, embodying the perfect blend of French refinement and Japanese heritage.
Commenting on the partnership, CEO & Founder Loaye Al-Nahedh, Siwar Foods said, ”Our agile business model has once again allowed us to tap into the latest consumer trends. The mochi market has grown rapidly as a result of changing dietary habits. The global mochi market was valued at USD350 million in 2021 and is projected to reach USD425 million by the end of 2030, expected to increase at a CAGR of 11.8% from 2023 to 2030 (Verified Market Research Company 2023).

The ‘Mochi collection adds to the list of convenience-based RTE categories into which Siwar is expanding.
