Tata Consumer Products (TCP) has announced the elevation of Puneet Das as the company’s new president in packaged beverages wing for India and South Asia. He has taken over Sushant Das who will now be leading the coffee chain-Tata Starbucks.

We have an exciting time ahead for our packaged beverages business with a focus on scaling up our distribution and reach, building on product innovation while strengthening the core portfolio. Puneet’s appointment comes at a time when the organization is going through its transformation journey and we are confident that his experience and leadership will help us accelerate the business and achieve new heights,” stated Sunil D’Souza, MD and CEO, Tata Consumer Products.

Puneet Das was earlier designated as the Senior vice president, marketing for the India beverages business. He has been working with with Tata Consumer Products since 2017. In his tenure, he has played a crucial role in reinforcing the core Tata Tea brand and sub-brands. He has been an active factor in the creation of a hyper-local brand positioning for Tata Tea’s assorted brand portfolio and designing the marketing strategy for Tata Coffee Grand.

Das holds an experience of about 20 years in the Fast-moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry having worked in India, Africa and other international markets. Before joining Tata Consumer Products, he has chaired senior marketing roles across leading FMCG companies such as GSK Consumer, Marico, PepsiCo, and has also worked with brands like 7Up, Boost, Horlicks among others.
