Mettler-Toledo has showcased its Updated ProdX Data Management Software to Help Food Manufacturers in Product Safety. The new data management software version from Mettler-Toledo delivers improved device management, operational efficiency, and enhanced data insights to optimize production lines and sustainability efforts.

Additionally, the web-based monitor now includes new “giveaway” and “individual” value charts, which provide more granular data insights for both single device and production line views.
- Optimized Reporting Capabilities: One of the significant advancements in ProdX 2.7 is its expanded report automation. The new version allows users to generate custom reports with greater flexibility, and a new template has been added specifically for performance test results. The software also includes automated summary reports, offering an easy overview of compliance with food safety regulations, whether for individual shifts or broader production runs.
- Extended User and Access Management: Increased transparency is a highlight of the new ProdX update. The software logs all user events, including successful and failed login attempts, changes to access rights, and profile modifications. - New Message Queuing System for Greater Efficiency: The migration to RabbitMQ message queuing system in ProdX 2.7 means faster and more scalable data handling, allowing the software to process a larger volume of messages without compromising performance. - Product Validation Capability – Security and Compliance: For x-ray inspection systems, ProdX 2.6 introduces a product validation capability, a crucial feature for maintaining product setting integrity. This capability provides a visual indicator to confirm that the system is inspecting a product using validated setting parameters. In case any parameters are altered, the login used and the changes made are recorded. Additionally, the x-ray system’s product parameters are now stored in ProdX for remote viewing, regardless of whether these parameters can be edited remotely.
- Open Platform Communication Unified Architecture (OPC UA) Weighing Technology Integration – Seamless Connectivity: ProdX now also complies with the Open Platform Communication Foundation’s weighing technology companion specification, facilitating effortless integration with check weighers within this standard. This integration not only streamlines the connection between ProdX and third-party check weighers but also allows for seamless data exchange, enhancing overall operational efficiency and providing manufacturers with real-time insights critical for precision control and compliance.
