Position Overview: The Total Rewards Manager for the India & South West Asia (INSWA) Operating Units provides subject matter expertise and leadership in relation to compensation and benefits programs, policies and processes which support the Operating Unit.
Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:
- Advise OU leaders on the implications of short and long-term decisions, strategies, and large-scale change efforts on compensation and benefits programs that will yield sustainable business results.
- Ensure on an on-going basis that compensation and benefits programs are implemented and communicated with excellence and in a manner that delivers a great associate experience.
- Interactions with local retirement plans and committees and vendors across key benefit programs
- Evaluate the effectiveness of local programs to ensure they are relevant and legally compliant. Design and implement necessary changes or improvements.
- Analyse new and/or existing plans and programs to determine market competitiveness, ease of administration and alignment with business strategy. Analyse research data from benchmarking, identify strategies, processes, and tools with value to the Company and associates.
- Lead the change efforts and stakeholder management efforts associated with new and changed programs.
- Evaluate escalated individual employee issues that require special handling and recommend appropriate resolution including policy exceptions.
- As a member of local cross-functional HR team for INSWA, participate, input and influence in the creation of BU-specific people strategies in line with Global HR plans and priorities
- Build the compensation and benefits capability of HR business partners and other HR colleagues to deliver support to their clients
Education Requirements:
University degree in any discipline
Related Work Experience:
Minimum 7 to 9 years working experience in compensation and benefits field (specific experience of working in a multinational company India); good verbal and written communication skills – with a minimum of 2 years in a role with consulting/influencing with senior level business and Human Resource leaders
Functional Skills:
- Consulting – Advise OU leaders on the implications of short and long-term decisions, strategies, and large-scale change efforts that will yield sustainable business results.
- Ensure Total Rewards plans meet all law requirements – Ensure Total Rewards plans (e.g. benefits or compensation programs) are designed, operated and communicated in a manner that meets all applicable laws and regulations and meet all internal and external requirements with regard to financial and operational controls.
- Evaluate the Implementation & Effectiveness of Total Rewards Plans – Evaluate the implementation and effectiveness of Total Rewards plans, programs, processes, and tools (e.g., benefit plans, compensation programs and health management) utilizing relevant measurement and feedback mechanisms and make necessary modifications.
- Ensure a good Total Rewards associate experience – Ensure a good Total Rewards associate experience as a result of operational efficiency and effectiveness for delivery of compensation and benefits programs within a geography including all vendor delivery, payroll delivery, customer service issues and case escalations with appropriate documentation, capability, process management and case management.
