The Test COE Leader is responsible for establishing, managing, and evolving the Testing Center of Excellence within the organization. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality software products through the implementation of standardized testing processes, tools, and methodologies. The Test COE Leader will lead a team of testing professionals, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate testing best practices across all stages of the software development lifecycle.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement the strategic vision for the Testing Center of Excellence.
- Establish and enforce standardized testing methodologies, processes, and best practices.
- Align the COE’s objectives with the overall business goals and IT strategy.
Operational Management:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and management of all testing activities.
- Ensure the availability and utilization of appropriate testing tools and technologies.
- Manage resource allocation and utilization across various projects to optimize efficiency.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of testing professionals.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that encourages innovation and professional growth.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality software products through rigorous testing processes.
- Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of testing efforts.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and operations, to integrate testing into the overall development process.
- Communicate testing strategies, plans, and results to stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all testing-related matters.
Innovation and Improvement:
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in testing technologies and methodologies.
- Evaluate and adopt new testing tools and technologies to improve testing capabilities.
- Promote the use of automation and other innovative testing practices to increase productivity and reduce time-to-market.
KEY QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCES:
• 12+ years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a leadership or management role within a testing or QA organization.
• Proven track record of establishing and managing a Testing Center of Excellence or similar function.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
