Sustainability Manager, SAM
We are looking for a dynamic and impactful professional to be our Sustainability Manager, South Asia Markets, reporting directly to the Sustainability Director, SAM. The Sustainability Manager will ensure all sustainability priorities are executed as per Tetra Pak Strategy 2030 with high focus on increasing recycling in the region. The Sustainability Manager will be responsible for planning and executing key deliverables including recycling investments and value chain activities as well as contributing to the sustainability market plan. Large-size strategic projects and external stakeholder/partner engagement are part of this responsibility.
The position will be based in Gurgaon.
What you will do
- Executes sustainability programmes to implement Tetra Pak Strategy 2030 priorities in assigned countries with focus on packaging collection and recycling
- Contributes to the development of market plans and defining market sustainability goals
- Leads the execution of market plans/projects in assigned countries in collaboration with stakeholders
- Identifies local collection and recycling investments/projects/activities and proposes solutions (recycler project screening/implementation/etc.)
- Manages large-size strategic projects, e.g. collection and/or recycling in cooperation with relevant partners (incl. recycler co-investments)
- Develops cooperation with relevant external partners like waste management companies / recyclers to improve collection & recycling and contribute to the development of recycled product end markets
- Represents the company in relevant industry associations related to sustainability
- Drives achievement of targeted Collection & Recycling increase and implement value chain projects, including investments and partnerships
- Contributes to recycling investment process including preparation of business cases and leading project negotiations
- Collaborates with Corporate Affairs, including exchange on legislative developments and advocacy work
- Collaborates with Communications on sustainability communication activities to achieve the sustainability targets and secure business success
- Leads and executes local activities related to prioritised circularity, nature and climate progammes
Who you are
- Full Time Graduation/Post Graduation
- Strong understanding and experience in Paper/Plastic Recycling, Waste Management Business
- At least 8-10 years extensive experience in Sustainability/Recycling area with proven performance and strong track record
- Previous experience in packaging recycling and/or waste management sector
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects
- Demonstrated performance in business development
- A true passion and deep understanding of sustainability
