Job Summary
In this role you will work in close cooperation with our business stakeholders, our factories, the global organizations and also our suppliers. You will be responsible for part of FESM category including the supplier base, taking an active part in the creation and execution of category strategy in alignment with global and regional’s strategies. You will perform spend and market analysis, execute strategic sourcing projects, implement and manage contracts.In this position you will have no direct reports. The position reports to APAC Category Manager for Factory Equipment Service & Materials.
Location : Gotemba or Tokyo
What you will do
- Define, create and execute category strategies for part of FESM, which includes but not limited to spend analysis, market intelligence, etc.
- Sourcing, Negotiation, contracting and management of supplier base
- Support sourcing projects in factories in Japan and APAC
- Support implementing global / APAC regional strategies and projects
- Drive performance improvements focusing on quality, cost and lead time
- Be conduit between global and local team for responsible area
- Collaborate with mid to senior management stakeholders like Factory Directors and SCO leadership
- Role may involve some travel within APAC and Europe
We believe you have
- We are looking for a result oriented, driven, and analytical candidate with a passion to contribute as a business partner.
- Your strong communication skills combined with your interpersonal capabilities enable you to easily interact across borders both internally and externally. We believe you have a solid background in Tactical buying, strategic sourcing & Category Management with strong commercial skills and a proven track record in leadership, negotiations, and supplier relationship management. High competence is collaboration, Communication, presentation, and influencing is a must.
- The successful candidate has a university degree preferably within Engineering or Supply Chain Management, in combination with at least 5 years of experience from tactical to strategic sourcing and contracting. You have a good command in English, both written and verbal and strong executive presence.
- Preferably once worked in global or international organization, experienced change management.
- Experience in MRO/Logistics category management background will be a plus.
- CPSM credential will be a plus.
