We are looking for Sub Project Manager (Technical Support – C Category)
The Sub PM acts on the Project Manager’s behalf within the organization and is responsible for implementing the requirements for the associated systems arising from the customer contract. Using representatives for the applicable subsystems or components provides the project manager with support in dealing with the extensive range of tasks in the project. The responsibilities of the core project team and line management representatives are not in any way restricted if a representative of the project manager is used in a project.

As the responsible for the associated components:
- Contributes for definition the target-costs and cost-controlling in coordination with the interface-partners: Defines project-specific targets (cost, time, quality) in via Technical Manager (TM) and
- Project Procurment Manager (PPM) for the Product Solutions and Creation (PSC)-Teams (under consideration the overall-targets and if required the overall DTC-Measures and their Implementation).
- Implementation of the customer requirements in matters of time, cost and quality based on the technical solutions from the PSC-Teams.
- Descend after escalation from the PSC-Teams in coordination with the Project Manager and – if necessary with the other core-team-members – as soon as: the targets of the project cannot be met or frame-condition from the projects are possibly exceeded (time, quality, costs, customer targets / requirements) or an entrepreneurial decision is needed (a decision with uncertainness and with an possibly impact to the targets)
- Clarifies as a responsible for decisions person all aspects with the customer (particularly all contract and claim issues.
- Informs immediately the PSC-Team members if the frame-conditions are changed.
- Is part of the PSC-Team meetings, when accorded with the PSC-Team-members.
- Responsible for matters of DTC-measures with strong coordination with the PSC-Team.
- Responsible for coordination with the TM about scope-shifts between the PSC-Teams.
- Customer approval: He coordinate a correct handover and approval to the end customer (including e.g. acceptance-tests and documentation) and support in the warranty-phase.
have facts-and-figures up to date to have an transparent overview about the progress and target-achievements and reports to the Project Manager within the internal Core-Team-Meetings. - Transfer all issues to his successor or to the Project Manager in a transparent way when he leave the project.
- Coordinate all supplier activities in coordination with the PSC-Team-members (e.g. customer visits on the supplier-sites).
Is the interface-role to the consortium-partner. - Coordinate material by customer.
- Coordinate the MO-internally supply (e.g. Bogies from BG; Works from Luhe; components from MM etc.).
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field along with minimum of 5-8 years of experience in project management.
- Project manager’s representative is the customer’s point of contact (in consultation with the project manager) and contact for the PSC team.
- Responsible for making decisions and issuing instructions for all aspects relating to timescales and project handling for the associated modules, components and systems to ensure compliance with the project requirements.
- In the event of conflicts of interest with line management, he can escalate the case to the RBM in consultation with the project manager.
- Represents the project manager in sourcing decisions and attends PSC team status meetings.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
