Sr. Pre Project Engineer

Tetra Pak design and deliver liquid food processing and packaging lines and plants all over the world. In Tetra Pak we have teams supporting our global organization with the aim to bring optimal solutions to the continuously growing global liquid food market. The Prepared Food team within business sector Liquid Food Solutions is now looking for a Sr. Pre Project Engineer to strengthen the team.
Within our team we work with solutions for processing of prepared foods and plant based products. You will together with our sales and portfolio team be a key person in the global prepared food organization supporting global sales and projects. Main responsibilities will be driving and coordinating creation of customers line solutions and configuration of processing units, calculate performance and supporting our portfolio team. We offer you a challenging position in a highly qualified team and close cooperation with sales and market companies all over the world.
The position is based in Pune, India and includes appr. 20% travelling.
What you will do
As a Sr. Pre Project Engineer you will:
- Participate in understanding our customers’ needs and requirements.
- Drive & coordinate creation of customer line solutions (PTS, block charts, P&ID, layouts etc) in pre projects.
- Support customization, configuration, and quotations of processing units.
- Support in creating and issuing quotation documents.
- Calculations of performance criteria for lines and processing units
- Participate in design and quotation reviews.
- Perform Total Cost of Ownership and sustainability calculation in quotations and for benchmark.
- Scout and advise on third party supplier equipment’s
- Support our portfolio organization with creation and continuously improving our best practice solutions.
- Performance follow up on installed base and propose improvements
Who you are
We believe you have:
- Engineering degree in MSc Food Engineering, Processing Engineering or equivalent
- At least 8+ years strong experience in pre project and process engineering working in FMCG domain.
- Strong interest in collaborating in engineering food processing projects
- A well-spoken person, who likes to share ideas, problem solving, create solutions
- You are curious and have a great will to learn and develop self
- Open to travel 20%
