Job Summary
Service Engineer C (Automation)
We are looking for an expert who will bring expertise in automation tools. This is an opportunity to interface with our extensive customer base and provide industry-leading processing solutions and field troubleshooting skills are required. In this role you will be an individual contributor, working under general supervision, this role reports to a Service delivery Manager, Customer service operations. In this role you will be working in partnership with many key stakeholders, you will need to possess a high level of collaboration, engagement, and leadership skills. We believe you have a logical approach and are methodical in your commitment to troubleshooting system problems.
Can be Based in Bangalore
You will be travelling up to 90% of your time to our customer sites and regionally for Troubleshooting/startup/commissioning required
What you will do
As a Automation Engineer, you will:
- Develop technically Plant Automation solutions (hardware and software), Troubleshooting & Commissioning including.
- Participate in understanding of Automation Software
- Generate Function Descriptions and Functional Block Charts for internal review.
- Develop automation software, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Test (SAT) & Handover for Upgrade Activites.
- Various off and on site application test procedures.
- Maintain Documentations as per Tetra Pak documentation policy.
- Deliver customer training for automation systems preferred.
- Responsible for application functionality, system functionality, etc.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of relevant working procedures, templates, standards etc.
We believe you have
- Bachelors or Technical degree in. Instrumentation/Electronics/ Electrical/Automation Engineering
- Minimum of 3-5 years of practical experience working as Automation project engineer in or related to the process industries.
- Previous experience in pharmaceutical, food or dairy industries is a plus.
- Knowledge of PLC programming on Rockwell and Siemens systems is a Mandate.
- Knowledge of SCADA programming on Wonderware Intouch, System platform, Rockwell, Siemens Scada systems is an advantage
- Familiar with Siemens Step7, Siemens TIA PORTAL, Siemens WinCC, or Rockwell Studio5000, Factory Talk
- Working knowledge of ISA-S88 and S95 preferred.
- Experience on Ethernet networking and field bus systems such as Profibus, Asi, Control-Net, Device-Net etc.
- Have automation knowledge from the processing industry, typically including SW development and commissioning experience with continues & batch processing.
- Familiar with Windows Operating System setup and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge on functional safety, machine safety, and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) is a plus.
- Ability to work within a team and independently, self-motivated and team player.
- Good English skills on writing, reading, listening, and speaking
- Strong, positive oral & written communication skills both internally & with customers required.
- Good level of design skill and troubleshooting capability.
- Ability to work under demanding timelines and situations.
