This Senior Manager role plays an essential leadership position in the development and execution of McCain’s Go To Market within our Indirect/Foodservice NA business. The scope of the role includes managing all aspects of marketing planning and execution for McCain branded selling programs in broadline foodservice for both the appetizer and potato categories. Position is responsible for creating, supporting and tracking the effectiveness of in-market activation for our five regional selling teams, and customization of programming for our biggest distribution partners, buying groups, and large-leverage operator (LLO) customers. Position is supported by a team of 3, including a Field Execution Manager, Field Communications Manager and Coordinator and works cross functionally with category teams to identify priorities, create market plans, and execute sales activation programs to profitably grow McCain Foods broadline businesses. The position is also responsible for supporting and managing corporate distributor programs at the local level and associated day-to-day activities included, but not limited to scheduling and trafficking projects, fielding sales requests, reporting, and program tracking & optimization.
As a leader on the Customer Leadership team, this individual needs to have strong collaboration, communication and project management acumen. Building relationships with our key customer contacts and sales teams will be a key to their success and they will be relied on to identify, develop and support category growth strategies to achieve overall business objectives. The role will act as the main liaison for field sales into marketing and will be a strategic business partner to our category and sales organizations.
Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and support McCain brand and portfolio programming and provide effective selling strategies across four sales regions, Non-Comm and K12 Businesses
- Regional execution of Gold/Silver Distributor programming including, but not limited to: data analysis, customer opportunity assessment, ROI analysis and development of sales support for local level programming
- Regional Independent Distributor Support / Planning—Co-creating joint business plans in partnership with area managers and regional directors
- Oversight of Areas Sales Manager (ASM), Foodservice Sales Manager (FSR), Broker and DSR training as needed to support go-to-market programming
- Support Broker activation programming development and Regional LLO selling support including, but not limited to tools, program mechanics, incentives, live presentation/participation, video conferencing, project management, etc.
- Develop and execute Distributor Food show thematic and lead gen programming
- Targeted independent distributor program development, execution and tracking
- Market Blitz opportunity assessment, development, execution, and ROI analysis
- Monitor and maintain critical awareness of industry trends and target customer needs. Perform regular analysis and reporting on business results, competitive activity, and industry/segment trends.
- Provide assistance to the sales organization to facilitate their success with appropriate business solutions. This will include providing information and expertise on capabilities, products, trends, markets.
- Ability to leverage and adapt pre-existing content in support of local market needs. Individual should be highly collaborative—working with Insights, Brand, Customer Marketing, Integrated Marketing and Sales teams to understand business priorities and apply them in the field vs create from scratch.
- Evaluate the performance of marketing initiatives and trade spending to develop best practice learnings and optimize ROI
- Respond to customer requests and inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Visit sales regions and customer corporate and/or division locations as needed
- Leverage category and marketing expertise across other branded and channel marketing areas by working closely with other customer and branded marketing teams.
- Contribute to the development of the overall business strategy with a focus on appropriate category, segment and account targeting for future busines growth.

Qualifications Include:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Business Administration, Statistics, and Economics).
- Three-five years in the areas of Brand Marketing, Customer Marketing, Category Management, or Sales in a consumer packaged goods (B2B or B2C) environment.
- Microsoft Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBI.
- Ability to travel (~20-40%)
