In this role you will support & advise the DC in all aspects of Safety, Health Environment (SHE) & Security with a strong focus on implementing Market-level initiatives, including developing & driving DC initiatives leading to continuous improvement in SHE performance in line with the Nestlé Continuous Excellence mind-set of zero accidents and incidents and compliance to Nestlé and relevant legal requirements.
A day in the life of…
Reporting to the Head of Physical Logistics & the Corporate SHE Manager as a dynamic and dedicated Health and Safety professional, you will be required to drive compliance and improvement in safety, health and environmental activities including developing the SH&E OMP and drive its implementation through application of the Nestlé S&H Management System (NSMS) and Nestlé Environmental Management System (NEMS).
- You will provide leadership across all parts of the DC to enable staff to realise their SH&E goals and create pride in their achievements.
- You will be the primary point of contact at the facility for all matters related to security, and will act as intermediary between facility management and Nestlé Group Security (NGS).
What will make you successful
- BTech in Safety or Environmental Management or Engineering.
- NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
- SAMTRAC (Safety and Management Training Course) – Integrated SHE System.
- Min 5 years experience industrial SHE management.
- Strong motivation & ability to influence people not under his/her authority.
- Good communication skills.
- Knowledge of effective approaches, systems & procedures in SHE management.
- Knowledge of Nestlé SHE Policies, systems and procedures.
- Advanced Computer literacy.
- Proactive and able to initiate long-term improvements.
- Able to tactfully deal with conflicting opinions to bring the desired results, and add value rather than exercise formal authority.
- Project management skills.
