Reporting to the Compliance Specialist, the Raw and Packaging Analyst
- To conduct analysis and releases of raw and packaging materials timeously to ensure the smooth running of production and filling lines.
- To conduct analysis of Finished Product to ensure On time Release is not affected.
- To reject material that does not conform to agreed specification.
A day in the life of Raw & Packing Analyst
- Sample Raw and Packaging Materials daily at factory warehouse and outside warehouse.
- Carry out relevant analysis on Raw and Packaging Material as per analysis sheet.
- Release Raw and Packaging materials on SAP system.
- Make quality warning or rejections for non-compliant materials.
- Inform Factory Purchaser of materials to be rejected.
- Block non-conforming materials in SAP and Physically.
- Monitor COA’s on arrival and inform Purchaser if consignments arrive without COA’s.
- Update trend graphs for Quality warnings or Rejections once per month.
- Make out Quality warning or Rejections if raw materials (CMD) do not conform to specifications.
- Inform QA Manager of all out of norms results.
- Conduct following audits in CMD – Double seam control, Pressure test dimensions, visual.
- Send labels to Head Office for color standards approval.
- Update analysis sheets whenever changes occur.
- Release sundry materials (glue, inks, solvents).
- Conduct moisture analysis for Coffee and Beverages Finished Products.
- Conduct ICP checks for ovens and laboratory scales.
- Use image compare system for label release.
- Provide weekend cover in Chemistry or sensory laboratory whenever required.
- Send samples to relevant NQAC for contaminant analysis.
