Job Summary
We are looking for a expert who will responsible for supplier management for base/preferred suppliers. Request For Quotation (RFQ), negotiation, contract mgmt. Analysis of suppliers, competition, benchmark, spend etc. Responsible for supplier management in line with strategy, process and KPIs for assigned suppliers.
What You Will Do
As Supply Manager you will,
- In this position you will be responsible for execution of the Supplier Management sourcing strategy in the product development projects driven in the Development & Technology organization. This is a crossfunctional leadership role which facilitates early supplier technical engagement and collaboration in the development activities. This role brides the engineering community with the supplier management community with the responsibility for project management and accountability for deadlines, results and metrics, sourcing, negotiation, and cost estimation. In addition, you will be part of the governance for development projects at Program level. Reporting to the manager, PPC Kunshan Site SuM, you will be expected to lead and drive activities independently. Acts as a liaison with engineering in releasing new products.
- Lead early supplier technical engagement in cost improvement activities. Support development teams to meet product cost targets though cost estimations and negotiations.
- Actively participate in project team meetings and represents the voice of the Supplier Management and Production.
- Reduce product risk through proper sourcing strategy execution. Drive use of ‘Preferred’ suppliers. Provide the project team with supply chain risk assessments which include obsolescence, delivery, currency, logistics and other risks.
- Project manages the communication and activities between the development team and the supplier management organization. (i.e. supplier selection, supplier negotiations, sourcing strategy development, non-disclosure agreements, supplier issue resolution, etc.) Facilitates the establishment of supply management parameter guidelines with buyers and planners. (i.e. production authorization agreements, lot size, lead time, logistics, packaging, etc.)
- Measure and track sourcing strategy execution impact on the product and the business (i.e. product cost reductions achieved, percent of parts awarded to ‘Preferred’ suppliers, risk mitigation, etc.)
- Collaborate with the Sourcing organization to provide market information to the NPI team (i.e. supplier technology roadmaps, price and availability trends, benchmarking results, etc.). • Interface and build strong working relationships within the organization. This position is located to Kunshan city, but you will work in a global arena and travel frequently to Shanghai.

- Demonstrated ability to manage projects / assignments requiring identification of objectives, resources and/or approaches.
- Moderate understanding of sourcing, procurement, inventory, logistics and production principles.
- Demonstrated excellent analytical skills in a dynamic new product introduction environment and ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
- Strong project manager comfortable in leading cross functional and multi-cultural teams.
- Demonstrated ability to make difficult decisions and drive execution of correct supply chain solutions in the face of opposition.
- Well-developed problem solving and project management skills.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills (written and verbal) to various levels of the organization.
- Advanced understanding and use of data management applications (i.e. MS Office)
- You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- You are fluent in English both spoken and written.
- You have a minimum of 3 years new product introduction, industrialization engineering, sourcing, supply chain, project management or engineering services experience.
- Having SAP experience is highly desired.
- Project Management (PMP) certification is preferred, and you have knowledge of World Class Manufacturing.
