Your role will be crucial for efficient communication and continuous alignment with all key stakeholders (internal and external) to ensure successful and timely execution of complex projects – these projects contribute to overall profitability and ensure client satisfaction. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for managing the overall implementation of projects, as well as ensuring quality, cost, time, and client satisfaction metrics. Your proven experience in this domain will be invaluable as you be a lead and mentor your teams, and their day-to-day performance.
The position is based in Singapore.
You will need to be open to travelling at least 25% of the time, and sometimes required to spend longer periods at of up to 4 to 6 weeks at a client site; especially during the delivery of critical on site activity.
What you will do
As a Project Director you will:
- Be responsible for managing and optimizing Financial Performance
- Deliver overall Project Leadership and execution to agreed time and budget deliverables
- Design and deliver the project scope according to project agreement(s) (contract)
- Drive productivity through utilization of global processes and tools, and ensure project governance and risk management
- Manage scope changes and issue Variation Orders
- Secure project communication and documentation according to plan
- Ensure application of Best Practices and lesson learned, providing input to improvement or development of processes and tools
- Application of World Class Management (WCM) Methodologies to drive systematic and continuous learning and project delivery, ensuring compliance with Quality systems and standards.
- Manage a safe working environment for all.
- Be responsible to source and/or secure the expertise, products and services required by the project
We believe you have
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Chemical Engineer, Food Science or similar discipline; or equivalent skills and experience
- PMP certification, or the motivation to attain the PMP certification is required.
- At least 5-8 years’ Project Management experience
- Demonstrable leadership skills and proven communication skills
- Negotiation skills and capability to maneuver through political and cultural situations effectively
- Proven expertise with Microsoft Office; Microsoft Project; SAP; Basic AutoCAD Skills
- Very good command of written and spoken English language.
- Some knowledge of dairy, beverage, cheese, and / or powder processing
