Position Summary:
The Production Operator is responsible for the care and safe operations of McCain’s equipment, federal guidelines and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Promotes and adheres to company safety work rules and regulations
2. Operates and understands the function of the Production equipment.
3. Coordinates with other operators in varying departments concerning incoming and outgoing raw material.
4. Monitors and records temperatures, times, volume levels, blend rates, and water levels in addition to other necessary data.
5. Maintains raw product flow from receiving into even flow bins and to production as specified.
6. Inputs all information into Infinity and completes all records and reports.
7. Prepares and maintains raw product report data.
8. Attends and participates in all annual, departmental, and job specific required training and informational meetings.
9. Communicates any problems or changes in production or quality to supervisor and appropriate personnel.
10. Helps to build and promote a strong “Teamwork” environment in each individual work group, the Factory, and the Company.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
1 to 6 months manufacturing experience is a PLUS!
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions both written and oral as well as read and interpret schedules related to production/ product schedules and line changeovers.
Ability to comprehend and communicate in Basic English and interact with all levels of the organization. Must be able to enter data into a computer.
Must be able to stand for up to 12 hours per shift and lift up to 50 pounds.
Physical Demand:
Constant: use and movement of hands and standing on regularly scheduled shift. Standing.
Frequently: Bending, grasping of hands, and reaching for up to 6-8 hours daily. Climbing stairs, leaning forward 34-67%.
Occasionally: Walking, bending at the waist, squatting, kneeling, and twisting at the neck and waist, pushing and pulling for up to 3 hours a day.
