- The Production Leader will lead the production team assembling and/or manufacturing capital equipment. Accountable for the teams deliverables. Provides input for the planning and development of the production unit and or sub unit. Makes decisions around production planning. Defines standards under which team operates. Concentrates on short-term individual and team goal.
- This position will report to the Production Center Director
- This position is based in Winsted, MN. USA
- You might be travelling up to 5-10% of your time.

What You Will Do
As a Production Leader you will:
- Ensure compliance to OHS with the goal of zero accidents
- Lead / Participate in WCM, Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement in line with WCM principles
- Lead production flow in Production Centre in line with production strategy
- Understand production plan and/or committed takt and ensure employees and tools required are in place
- Secure all production orders are delivered on time in full, within budget, complying with quality / food safety / hygiene requirements, standards and legal demands
- Provide requested information to support the development of the cost centre budget based on forecasted demands and budget expectations
- Create and drive fulfilment of budget and production KPI’s
- Cooperate with Engineering Design for the Production line build
- Drive people engagement and development
- Lead and fabricate / assemble capital equipment to engineering specifications
Who You Are
We believe you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent background in manufacturing / leadership
- World Class Manufacturing experience / ability to lead continuous improvement projects
- 1 plus years experience driving a safe manufacturing environment
- Previous proven leadership capabilities in a manufacturing setting
- Understanding of department budget cost management
- Ability to interact positively with all levels within the organization
- Computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Ability to develop staff to meet department needs (current and future)
