This position is responsible for the development and execution of category strategies, strategic sourcing process, negotiations, contracting, and supplier relationship activities involving the sourcing of IT related products and services. You’ll be accountable for value creation budget, project management, supply risk management, policy recommendations, and medium-term planning working with the IT Procurement team. We’re looking for an individual that has keen negotiating skills and an ability to drive results that effect the bottom line.
What You’ll Do for Us
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop spend and business requirements/needs to formulate negotiation strategies
- Lead RFPs/Negotiations
- Collaborate with team members who are not a direct report to balance work assignments and stakeholder needs.
- Collaborate with senior IT leaders (Enterprise Architecture, IT Vendor Governance, etc.) to assess and recommend approval or rejection of new supplier and technology requests.
- Continually evaluate IT products, services and vendors to determine improvement or replacement.
- Draft, negotiate and execute commercial agreements including master contracts for software and services and statement of work
- Work with key IT client to ensure proper management of client relationship and development of IT category procurement strategies.
- Improve work process and systems to support Agile work processes
- Build capabilities (self and others)
- Develop and execute sourcing and IT supplier strategies for a large area of sub-IT category, involving global requirements
- Make appropriate recommendations to reduce costs and improve processes while leveraging purchasing power.
- Collaborate with IT in supplier governance, supplier relationship management and performance management
- Effectively communicate across the organization with all executive levels and operational management to ensure the IT Strategic Procurement function is meeting the goals and objectives of IT.
- The position requires understanding of procurement process and best practices including developing market/industry analysis, supplier analysis, total cost of ownership analysis, sourcing strategy and supplier strategy development Qualification/Skills Technical (Sourcing)Competency
- Hands-on experience in sourcing, including all phases of the supply cycle pre-planning/basic sourcing strategy, supplier selection, execution of supply plans, evaluation of results and supplier performance, strategy review/renewal and execution of contracts.
- A consistent track record of achieving outstanding business results in a range of circumstances (Examples: different IT products and services; strong and weak markets; different supplier sizes and types of relationships; established and emerging markets and products/services; etc.).
- A demonstrated depth and breadth of understanding of the core work of Procurement (sourcing strategies and supplier relationships) and tools of strategic sourcing, and the ways in which they can be applied effectively to produce the desired results.
- Actual experiences in the successful business application of all the technical sourcing skills. Examples are: Sourcing strategy development, leading negotiation plan development and execution, market/supplier/industry analysis, competitive bidding, supplier relationship management strategy development, IT professional and managed services, and client relationship management
- Solid analytical thought processes, both qualitative and quantitative.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 to 15 years of relevant experience
- Strongly demonstrated abilities in the areas of: Corporate Social Responsibility, Strategic Planning, Contract Negotiation, Cost Analysis, Vendor Selection and Benchmarking related to all areas of IT strategic purchasing.
- Demonstrated Project Management experience as Project/Program Leader of cross functional teams.
- Strong written and oral communications skills, appropriate for external and internal C-level audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop/maintain productive business relationships
- Demonstrated skill to persuade/influence directly and indirectly -both internally and externally to the function.
- Financial acumen and rapid diagnostic commercial skills.
- Budget management experience. Advanced negotiation training and skills.
