Context
- Developing digital channels eB2B,eB2C,FSA,O2O is a big opportunity within SWA [USD ~120 Mn by 2025, 5x of 2020 and CAGR of ~40% from 2020-25]
Focus
- Building the KO roadmap for implementation of the digital ecosystem across SWA markets which entails 5 countries like Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka,Bhutan and Maldives,4 bottling partners and 6 units
- FSA with global players like Uber Eats,Foodpanda along with Online Delivery as a channel across SWA markets stands at a revenue of 200MMUSD with projected growth rate of 20% where the KO attach rate of beverages stands at less than 0.15%. The role entails development and rollout of playbook to win with FSA and Online Delivery restaurants.
- O2O and eB2C will become close to 3% of the total retail sales in the SWA markets by FY 2025 with proliferation of online players like Daraz, Chaldal, Shwapno. In markets like Bangladesh with the rise in digital payments this will only further accelerate the development of these channels. This necessitates the need to develop the KO rights to win in this channel on the pillars of eOBPPC, content& imagery of our brands, campaigns, consumer promotions and measurement through eRed tools.
- Rollout of KO owned digital ecosystem [ Wabi/Wabi equivalent] that integrates end to end the relation of Consumers, disaggregated stores, manufactures and fulfillers allowing to generate new business models, monetizing the relationship with our clients and leveraging on the physical strengths of our system. It helps the System to fully understand our consumers and their buying habits while also understanding the full grocery and QSR business, giving us a unique position in the market. This role will manage the local execution of WABI initiatives.
- Understand the KO owned ecosystem vision, proposed growth strategy, and required scale efforts from the OU
- Localize execution and implementation plans based on OU knowledge across 5 countries & 6 bottling partners
- As needed, work with the Global team to provide technology to Bottlers & CPGs in order to achieve the goals of assuring TCCC IP leadership
- Provide needed inputs to business intelligence team, one of the transformational pillars for the KO System
- Implement communication & PR strategy provided
New Ventures
- This portion of the role is to support the Global New Ventures / Incubator team in defining possible O2O ventures and future innovations to incubate. The goal of the New Ventures / Incubator team is to ensure KO has the right vision, strategic business focus, and direction to incubate, accelerate, scale or acquire O2O products and services of today and tomorrow steering the system in all aspects necessary to exponentially accelerate our digital businesses.
- This role will specifically provide inputs on possible innovation based on knowledge of OU gaps and will support in executing and scaling any new O2O innovations that are appropriate in the OU.
- Assess use cases and internal processes in order to identify innovation opportunities and local implementation strategies
- Provide suggestions on adjustments to make New Venture solutions OU specific
- Provide support for the testing and scaling of ‘fast track’ digital initiatives based on Central O2O guidance
- Identify OU talent and partners to support innovation in the best-in-class O2O business capabilities
KEY SUCCESS PARAMETERS
Experience
- 5+ years of leadership experience
- Strong understanding of TCCC and KO System Properties’ businesses
- Experience influencing large groups
- Experience working with bottlers
- Strong global business acumen with experience working in different geographies around the world
- Ability to translate global priorities into local business solutions and partner with respective functions to determine how new venture fits into the OU’s growth agenda
Work Focus
Strategy
- Understand strategic rationale for OU and bottlers to deploy DIGITAL ECOSYSTEM in the OU
- Support global team in understanding the evolving relationship between KO owned ECOSYSTEM, TCCC owned marketplaces and partners
- Develop partnerships to collaborate at each city (e.g., Unilever)
Operational
- Define course of action to select technology solutions from options offered by partners in order to minimize future technological debt & flaws
- Provide input on possible new features and additions to the ecosystem to warrant sustainability (e.g., addition of an electronic wallet, B2B module to offer sell in services to small customers)
Legal
- Facilitate connections to suppliers for any contract framework adaptations to enable a wider range of uses needed in the digital arena
Financial
- Track performance, profitability and return on investment for execution
Communication Focus
- Inside TCCC: Collaborate with global team to obtain approval of funding for project execution, manage execution / implementation team, report on execution success
- Outside TCCC
- Come to terms with bottler groups top management worldwide (e.g. top commercial corporate officers @ Amatil, BIG, FEMSA, Hellenic) to integrate disruptive e-commerce processes that will connect directly to bottler’s customers with those already existing at the bottlers. Reach agreements down the bottler chain of command to the field to get new processes implemented
- Expose processes and initiatives led by TCCC to government officials and policy makers. (e.g. Argentina Secretary of Commerce) in order to project TCCC Corporate leadership in the Digital field
- Negotiate partnership with senior leadership of other CPGs companies worldwide (e.g. Unilever, P&G, SCJ, Philip Morris) within the ecosystem developed and operated by TCCC
