Maintenance Process Leader
We are currently seeking a Maintenance Process Leader who will be mainly responsible for the Maintenance Reliability Program and Maintenance Operations of auxiliary equipment and utilities, implementing corrective, preventive, and predictive methods to maximize equipment up time. In this role, you will be an active leader promoting use of planned maintenance and continuous improvement methodologies while supporting direct reports with their development through coaching and training to ensure a safe working environment and efficient working practices.
The position is based in Denton, TX, USA.
You may be required to travel up to 5% for training.
Tetra Pak is not considering applicants (Internal or External) who require international relocation to the United States.
What you will do
As a Maintenance Process Leader, you will:
- Drive the Maintenance Reliability Agenda, by developing and implementing Time-Based Maintenance (TBM) and Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) Programs
- Ensure Preventive Maintenance compliance items are completed
- Organize and mature the planned preventative maintenance schedule
- Provide coach and guidance on creation of maintenance documents, standards, and procedures
- Be responsible for maintenance operations of auxiliary equipment and utilities, such as chillers, compressors, cranes, material carriers’
- Lead a team of Maintenance Planners, Spare Parts Leader, Utilities Engineer, and Intern
- Develop contractors and suppliers for outsourced maintenance, specific work also coordination of their performance
- Promote and drive usage of the Maintenance Information System (SAP Plant Maintenance Module)
- Track work requests, completion rates and coordinate maintenance priorities
- Ensure that all performed work in Maintenance Information System in sufficient detail to capture strong historical data for future analysis
- Establish and coordinate loss intelligence systems to identify opportunities to be improved and eradicated
- Coordinate and lead maintenance projects, including capital projects
- Document and analyze breakdowns, issues, and deviations to root cause, develop countermeasures, improvement actions and/or suggestions to improve
- Identify process opportunities in a continuous improvement environment
- Understand, stablish, and maintain high standards of 5S
- Understand and work in accordance with mandatory requirements of Health, Safety and Environmental requirements, also actively participate on regulatory audits
- Participate Understand and work in accordance with mandatory requirements of Health, Safety and Environmental requirements
- Control and source maintenance tools, equipment, services, and spares
- Ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met by working to the plan, including management of, and reporting
- Provide needed training to team members to enable safe, effective, and efficient maintenance practices.
Who you are
We believe you have:
- Bachelors degree in Automation & Control, Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience
- Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance of manufacturing equipment, preferrably in the food packaging or converting industries.
- Working knowledge of Failure mode and effects analysis, root cause analysis, statistics and probability, complex technical problem solving
- Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) experience will be considered a plus
- Safety, Quality & Continuous Improvement mindset
- Strong leadership and project management skills
- Strong organizational skills with ability to execute responsibilities and prioritize in a multitask environment
- Collaborative and facilitator approach to problem solving
- Practical experience with maintenance techniques and equipment
- Effective time management
- Automation knowledge, understanding of electrical drawings, HMI’s, etc.
- Experience using SAP PM module, PowerBI, and MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Sharepoint)
- Have knowledge of corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance tools and techniques, SOPs, and Continuous Improvement processes
- Ability to communicate and interact across all levels of the organization
- Good communication in English both written and spoken.
