Job Summary
Tetra Pak is current looking for a Logistic Engineer to be taking on the responsibility for the successful delivery of continuous improvements following WCM methodologies within Logistics scope. Reporting to the Logistic and Planning Manager, this person will be working on multiple projects and tasks, alongside with internal and external stakeholders developing new and innovative ways to enhance Tetra Pak Supply Chain operations through improvements in service level, costs and quality.
This position will be based in Denton, Texas.
Around 20 days of travelling per year can be expected.
What you will do
As a Logistics Engineer, you will:
- Drive and support WCM activities, such as investigate operational failures, develop loss intelligence, propose solutions, and lead multidisciplinary task teams
- Seek for improvement opportunities through internal/external benchmarking
- Drive automation and process simplification initiatives
- Support the development of business cases and project plans
- Track project milestones to ensure the achievement of objectives and committed benefits
- Collaborate with regional and global teams for process reviews, projects and local requirements
- Coach Logistics area regarding global standards and guidelines, as well as quality and legal requirements to ensure procedural excellence and alignment
- Accomplish Regulations and Procedures regarding certifications as BRC, FDA, SGI, FSC, OEA, ISO, others.
- Provide technical support for Procurement area during tenders (RFQ) and contracting (SLA) processes for logistics
We believe you have
- Bachelor’s Degree in Production Engineering, Supply Chain, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Logistics Engineering or equivalent.
- Analytical, inquiring, with good stakeholder management and planning skills are essential for the role.
- Experience leading WCM initiatives is required, and knowledge in Transportation from operations/projects is a plus.
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office and Power BI are essential.
- Skills in VBA programming and Minitab are highly valued.
