Key Account Manager
Our young and dynamic team is currently looking for an ambitious, self-driven and highly motivated person for the position of Key Account Manager.
Develop and drive execution of strategic and operational key account plan aligned to Tetra Pak and customer business objectives. Ensure that customer issues are resolved in a timely manner, and the resolution is accepted by the customer. Ensure that the relevant Tetra Pak portfolio is deployed in full; meet competitiveness requirements; deliver a strong value proposition. Drives sales of our full end-to-end portfolio. Lead a cross functional Key Account team to build strong customer relationship to achieve sustainable growth by identifying and capturing short, medium and long term business opportunities.
In this permanent position you will be based in Hochheim, Germany, requiring you to travel up to 30% of your working time within DACH region.
What you will do
As Key Account Manager you will be responsible for:
- Balancing strategic and operational objectives, as well as driving mutual sustainable growth. Together with KA team and customer, drive the development and execution of Key Account plan in line with market operational plan. Agree on shared objectives and targets with the customer. Ensure that team is driving TP’s value proposition for the customer.
- Forcefully driving resolution of customer issues, including Cross Boundary Issues. Drive improved understanding of the customer’s overall business (marketplace, channel, retailer, consumer, competitive environment, strategy, productivity, profitability and the across value chain) . Identify customer needs and drive opportunities in line with Tetra Pak global business strategy, category, portfolio, processing and service plans. Define, review and drive activities to improve line and plant performance and reduce overall customer system cost. Ensure that where relevant, retail management and processing is involved, and actions are aligned. Support SKAM and other Service roles in driving the sales of service products. Engage all team members and the customer in joint value creation and quantification, as well as support integrated quality plans. Relationship Management – drive Customer Experience and Partnership improvements according to global process. Ensure that RCX/CX actions are included in the KA Plan actions section and close the loop activities followed cross the organization.
- Ensuring that Account receivable expectations are met for Key Account Sales Forecasting (CE and PM planning): Secure accurate Sales Forecasting for assigned Key Account
- Value Selling: drive execution of sales targets for packaging solutions and processing. Opportunity Pipeline Management Execution. Engage all team members and the customer in joint value creation and quantification.
- Drive transparency of IOs within the team. Participate in the evaluation of team members. Develop competences of Key Account team members to secure that they match customer needs. Drive up-to-date knowledge of Tetra Pak’s portfolio within the KA team. Evaluate the KA team effectiveness and performance and drive continuous improvement. Share and apply best practices on KA methodology and execution. Lead the Key Account team and coordinate cross functional activities. Propose desired team composition to line management to meet customer needs. Set KA related IOs together with functional managers for the team members.
Who you are
We believe you have:
- Minimum 4 years of account / sales management experience in Tetra Pak or externally minimum 2 years of key account management experience. Minimum total experience of 5 years.
- MA degree in the field of Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering.
- Excellent analytical skills, ability to see the economical context.
- Good command of English and German languages – both spoken and written – are required.
- Ability to deal with different stakeholders (at customer end), managing cross-functionally.
- Being able to understand local market / customers.
- Strong demonstration of Value Selling, account management, showing strategic orientation and innovative mindset.
- Familiarity with Salesforce is a bonus.
