Reporting to the Head of IT, Siemens Limited India, IT Partner will work closely with the India Corporate Functions and partner with stake holders to drive IT & Digital strategy, solution delivery and IT operations adhering to the technology standards from Global Siemens IT. IT Partner will lead and coach technology professionals, partners and manage a high-performing team, and will also lead and coach others in the organization in maximizing efficiency via the use of technology-based systems and processes where security and reliability are paramount.
Key Responsibilities
IT Architecture Strategy
- Design, develop and maintain the IT strategic road map ensuring that IT capabilities continually support the overall business’s goals and objectives of Siemens Limited in India.
- Ensure that a Digital Strategy exists for Infrastructure and Applications which maps to the organizational goals and aligns to the Global IT Strategy in determining IT capital investment with regard to business priorities, potential risks, and capacity planning.
- Evolve IT Architecture for Enterprise Apps in line with Siemens IT Enterprise Architecture
- Ensure compliance with Corporate, regulatory and IT policies.
- Interface with business partners to advise and provide technology related solutions and thought leadership.
- Prepare Annual Operations Plan (AOP) for the Department along with the IT procurement plan for both hardware and software.
IT Operations
- Ensure a best-in-class IT Solutions and User Support to provide high level of employee experience within internal corporate functions.
- Create selection criteria for vendor products, tools and services related to information security, Work closely them to minimize business disruption and ensure the efficient delivery of services.
- Create the IT budget for Corp Applications, monitor performance against the budget, ensure budget compliance and Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives across corporate functions.
- Authorize / oversee the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, and support of all hardware and software based on the needs of Siemens India.
- Take lead to review, amend IT policies, processes, standards, and methodologies and monitor IT operations to implement new tools and services as appropriate.
- Ensure that Cloud based and SaaS services are monitored, supported to agreed SLAs so that business operations can rely on a high degree of service availability.
Leading Teams
- Lead IT Infrastructure and application partner teams and accomplishes business results by aligning staff performance plans to operational plan objectives.
- Track team goals and performance to ensure targets are met.
- Provide exceptional, inspirational leadership and support to the partner teams.
- Lead to ensure a safe, secure, and discrimination-free work environment; develops personal growth opportunities and ensure future skillset and resource requirements are proactively addressed.
Change Management
- Implementing Siemens IT change management strategies that will drive faster adoption and higher utilization to accelerate benefit realization, return on investment (ROI) and the achievement of results.
- Ensure compliance with ITSec regulations, process (SOP), governance and audit requirements
- Track projects, status, dashboards and proactively communicate with business and project team members and build meaningful metrics for business sponsors that demonstrate the impact of change efforts.
- Develop trusted relationships with key partners within the organization.
Risk Management and Incident Response
- Keep up-to-date of IT incidents and act as single point of contact during Major incidents. Convene IT Incident Response Team as needed, or requested, in addressing and investigating incidents that arise.
- Provide leadership, direction and guidance in assessing and evaluating information security risks and monitor compliance with security standards and appropriate policies.
Job Specifications
- Education.
- Bachelors or advanced degree in information technology, computer science, information systems, or related field.
- Minimum Work Experience.
- 15+ years IT experience with 4 to 6 years of Digital Transformation and Application Development
- Experience. IT Leadership + information technology desired + Experience managing and/or directing IT Solutions and Operations.
Skills/Certifications (Technical & Non-Technical)
- Experience in application development and Support.
- ITIL and ITSM certification.
- Proven experience in IT strategic planning and development, project management, IT budgeting and policy development.
- Strong practical knowledge of private and public cloud computing standards.
- Strong technical and Project Management skills and leadership qualities.
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills with ability to articulate strategy and ideas to senior stakeholders in business language.
- Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
- Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure, dynamic environment and manage multiple streams of projects and deliverables with a need for adjustments and rapid iteration.
