For Unilever to remain competitive in the future, the business needs to continue the path to become data intelligent. The Data & Insights team will persevere to make Unilever Data Intelligent; powering key decisions with data, insights, advanced analytics and AI.

This Data & Analytics function endeavours to create clear accountability for all aspects of Data Strategy, Data Management, Information Management, Analytics, and Insights. We would be accountable for impact of solutions, maintaining market relevance and minimising unnecessary overlaps in analytics products, ensuring simplicity and that our solutions better meet the needs of our users.
We would partner with the Digital and Data Legal Counsel to ensure that our Data Defence (Privacy, Governance, Quality, etc) is well structured and sufficiently robust to use data and AI correctly throughout the enterprise. We would democratize information across the business, while supporting the culture shift required for data driven decision making. Further, this team would drive capacity unlock from manual and duplicative reporting capabilities, while also refocusing a portion of the unlock on embedding predictive and prescriptive analytics capabilities into our highest potential opportunities.

Main Purpose of the Job:
The Product Lead plays a key role within the Data & Analytics team, owning solution development and leading the squad from high level proposal through to delivery. The Product Lead owns project budgets, timelines and designs and is the accountable person within the squad to the business. He/ She would be responsible to lead multiple products / product managers enabling end to end ownership of products starting from ideation, design, build, deploy and support the overall TCO and product experience – continuously upgrading the product to keep it relevant and up to industry standards with new innovation, and reduce cost by working with DevOps team to provide world class user experience & support at minimal cost.
The Route to Market is a key subject area within CD and it is primarily focused on the CD execution and how the markets are approached to have access to our products and services. This has become an exciting area for those interested in leveraging from data and analytics to help Unilever increase its reach and improve performance from Demand generation to fulfilment, crossing different value channels. Our analytics capabilities are meant to support important CD initiatives aiming to drive improved penetration, Design for Channel and Fuel for Growth.
This person will be responsible for defining the overall growth strategy and next generation thinking for the CD D&A toolkit required for the eRTM and B2B ecosystem for the D&E markets, continuously working with the market CDVPs and the Global CD COE Head (VP) to define the future roadmap and strategic thinking of how Unilever can remain competitive in market using D&A and own the key business benefits drivers of Online Penetration and Digitized Turnover being delivered in the D&E market enabled through the UniOps Tech & D&A product roadmap.
Key accountabilities:
- Lead the development of business requirements; cost estimates; and benefits identification to feed into the business case for the new products
- Lead the squad – guiding them and taking accountability for their performance in the eyes of the business
- Enable & Lead the strategic thinking of the business priorities – continuing to create path breaking solutions in the B2B ecosystem and work with the startup ecosystem to leverage new generation thinking, drive change management and work with UniOps D&A In-Market Teams to enable better adoption and execution of the analytics outcomes.
- Oversee product functional/ non-functional design and ensure Capability Teams’ members of the squad develop solutions which meet the business requirements
- Develop; own; and manage all project budgets & timelinesWork with the BDL & Solution Factories to ensure project deliverables are appropriately costed & scheduled in-line with project expectations
- Work with the D&A Market Deployment mgrs. to test solutions & functionality and land solutions in order to realise the benefits put forwards in the business case
- Own products developed in BAU and work with the D&A Market teams/ Solution Factory to ensure DevOps requests are appropriately managed, budgeted and delivered
Experience and qualifications required:
- Deep understanding of the D&A products and understanding of Microsoft Data Tech Stack
- Business intimacy with the corresponding process area/subject area
- Product design thinking experience to be able to translate the business requirements into a D&A product which leverages from Data & Technology to help deliver the business strategy
- Project mgmt. skills and ability to synchronize the planning & delivery of the D&A product with the delivery of the business strategy; Vendor Management & Budget Management including TCO responsibilities
- Agile mindset and ability to plan the D&A product roadmap via consecutive Releases which align with key business needs
- MBA from a Top-Tier B-school in India/ Abroad, With over 10 years of experience in relevant field
- Comes with a positive can-do attitude and great at problem solving skills
- Experience in FMCG industry preferably someone who understands the D&E markets and the Distributive Trade ecosystem
