Job Summary
We are currently looking for a Food Safety Regulatory Officer in South America region (Mexico, Andina, Southern Cone, Brazil, C&C). The position will report to the Food Safety Regulatory Manager.
The main responsibility will be to manage Regulatory Monitoring and Compliance within Food Safety areas of Food contact material, Food law, Hygienic design, Package Safety in Processing Solution & Equipment, Services, and Packaging Solutions businesses to secure Customer food safety production and in compliance with Tetra Pak policies and strategies.
The position is based in Monte Mor, Brazil
You will be travelling up to 25 % of your time
Tetra Pak is not sponsoring work visas or relocation for this position.
What you will do
- Define and maintain priority Markets to be focused on for Regulatory Monitoring
- Proactive monitoring of priority Markets
- Managing local Regulatory Contractors to support monitoring and compliance
- Managing key stakeholders who are creating input, decision making and supporting evaluation of monitoring activities to implement compliance requirements
- Support Regulatory Networks and drive global coordination to secure that identified changes in local legislations are followed up
- Define and follow Regulatory monitoring and compliance process
- Review available tools for Regulatory Monitoring
- Managing local market food safety regulatory ad hoc queries/doubts from Customers or Markets
- Transforming local cases into business as usual
- Supporting new products introduction in the Markets to FS compliance
- Monitoring & compliance to local regulations in all Food Safety areas for PSE, Services and Packaging Solutions businesses
- Create & maintain regulatory library
- Support Quality & Safety in Maturity assessment of PCs/BUs in Regulatory Compliance and knowledge of food law
- Control Self-Assessment for Food Safety regulatory monitoring and compliance support
- Managing compliance of the 3rd Party Suppliers to local Food Safety legislation (DoC for all ordered equipment)
We believe you have
- University Degree in Food Engineering, Food Technology, Food Law field
- Fluent English and Portuguese are required
- Spanish Advanced is plus
- Solid experience with food safety regulatory affairs ( ANVISA, etc )
- Advanced user of Microsoft Office
- To undertake root cause analysis on issues and propose solution
- Risk analyses
- Stakeholder management to address ad hock cases
- Experience of working in a multinational and multicultural environment
- Able to work both independently and as a team player
