Your responsibilities and tasks:
- Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of equipment.
- Provides technical support to customers including troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of machines.
- Provides training of customers’ operators and maintenance personnel.
- Complies with OSHA Safety and Health rules.
Your profile and qualifications:
- 5 years of hands-on technical experience on electro-mechanical systems as applied to state-of-the-art industrial machinery.
- Strong electrical aptitude, including motors, AC & servo drives, electrical circuitry, PLC, and PC based control systems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude including power transmission systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
- Experienced troubleshooter on electro-mechanical systems.
- Excellent communications skills – must be proficient in English, have strong listening skills, and enjoy working with people.
- Strong customer service orientation with a “do whatever it takes” attitude.
- Able to multi-task and work under extreme pressure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated and highly organized. Must be able to work independently.
- Excellent computer literacy including, knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
- Able to travel extensively (up to 90%) including, weekend trips and on short notice.
- Be able to read/understand blueprints, and mechanical drawings.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good eye-hand coordination, ability to bend, to lift 50-75 lbs potentially up to 100 lbs with assistance.
- Ability to stand up to 12 hrs.
- Ability to evaluate and solve problems in a logical manner.
- Ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Understanding and use of job safety precautions (OSHA knowledge) particularly regarding Lock Out Tag Out, Confined Space, Working at heights correctly, and with proper safety mechanisms in place.
- Ability to drive a motor vehicle.
