JOB PURPOSE
WayCool Foods, founded in 2015, is India’s largest and fastest growing Agri-commerce company. Focusing on food development and distribution, the company leverages innovative technology to scale and operate a complex supply chain from soil to sale. The Company operates in a full stack, broadline product range across multiple channels and categories such as fresh produce, staples, and dairy, serving over 100k+ clients in the general trade, modern trade, and food services space. The own consumer brands basket consists of Madhuram, Kitchenji, & Lexotique and Freshey’s to name a few.
The Associate– Environment projects role will support the creation, implementation, and managing the corporate sustainability agenda, its alignment with global frameworks/standards, disclosures, and brand value creation programs. The role will report to the Head Sustainability, while working closely across internal functional teams.
JOB SUMMARY
The key tasks performed by the role will be:
- Champion the monthly and quarterly KPI tracking by Business Unit and Facility to identify portfolio drivers and assist in communicating performance tends.
- Identify areas of opportunity and develop plans and strategies to reduce our environmental footprint through efficiency, increase recognition and engagement and help support the business objective to drive revenue by leveraging sustainability results.
- Work with sustainability team members to oversee the daily management of the Global Sustainability Management System that enables a clear view of environmental performance.
- Assist with the CAPEX program to identify projects intended to reduce environmental impact.
- The ideal candidate is expected to be an all rounder and should be able to perform daily tasks efficiently. He should be more responsible and accountable for Energy conservation, Energy efficiency projects, water conservation projects, water data monitoring,
- Plan projects related to rain water harvesting & recycling , water/ energy intensity reduction
- Candidate is expected to have some basic knowledge about the materials and equipment’s used in the STP/ ETP.
- Conduct pre-order & pre-installation visits to evaluate site conditions for the proper design, erection and commissioning of the proposed projects.
- Follow up with necessary stakeholders for recommending the right treatment scheme, equipment configurations based on site conditions, water\effluent characteristics and customer requirements.
- Follow up with commercial, finance team for release of PO and payment.
Functional Competencies:
- Minimum of Bachelors degree in Engineering or Environmental Science or a related discipline and 1-3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in industrial type facilities and identifying efficiency opportunities a plus.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing workload to meet multiple deadlines.
- Excellent Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Data Analysis skills
- Excellent interpersonal/communication skills, including strong verbal and written skills.
