The Environment Manager assists the McCain Ballarat site leadership team to achieve its environmental and sustainability objectives. Having a passion for all things environment, you will need to have initiative, be motivated, and be able to engage with others to work collaboratively in a team environment. The Environment Manager is responsible for the technical and cultural leadership, coaching and management necessary to ensure compliance to environmental legislative requirements, alignment to ISO 14001;2015 certification standards and to drive improvements at the McCain Ballarat site in relation to energy, water, waste, by-product, carbon emission and general environmental performance.

Your role:
- Lead the environmental function for the Ballarat Food Processing Plants
- Set local environmental policy and direction aligned to the McCain strategy and vision
- Lead the implementation of environmental policies and practices
- Promote a culture of change which supports the ongoing development of people, processes and added value opportunities
- Lead environmental improvements and ensure environmental compliance with statutory requirements
- Lead a small team
What we are looking for:
- 2-5 years minimum Environmental Management experience in FMCG Manufacturing or similar,
- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Sciences or an environmentally related discipline
- Understanding of environmental legislation, standards and licensing in the State of Victoria
- Understanding of Environment Management Standard ISO 14001: 2015
- Demonstrated ability to influence a technical team
