The role focuses on optimizing factory-level solutions to help customers reduce their environmental footprint and utility costs, with an emphasis on heat recovery, energy balance, water management, and CIP optimization. Key responsibilities include analyzing customer needs, obtaining and interpreting data, identifying sustainable design alternatives, and presenting solutions alongside the sales team. The position involves calculations with uncertainties and benefits from experience in high-temperature heat pump and boiler integration or refrigeration plant engineering. Collaboration is essential, particularly with the Project Organization, market operations, and Services teams, especially during the pre-project phase.

- For each new opportunity analyse the data available and identify different alternatives for a sustainable plant design.
- Collaborate and interact with internal and external stakeholders to ensure you obtain the necessary data and understand the customer needs.
- Make the necessary calculations and engineering to offer a sustainable plant design solution.
- Calculations can be on plant level and/or include heat recovery and energy balance, Sankey diagrams and pinch analysis.
- Have a good understanding of the role of industrial heat pumps and solar thermal solutions or water recovery solutions and select the right solution depending on customer needs.
- Develop and present a TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) based on the sustainable plant design solution for the specific customer.
- Provide input and ideas on how to improve our offer on energy optimisation, water recovery and CIP optimisation on plant level.
- When needed meet with customers and represent the Factory Sustainable Solutions organisation.
- Participate in maintaining and improving adequate application tools.
