In this role you’ll be responsible for anticipating, managing, and understanding the strategic, market, and tactical needs of our operating units and functions. We’re looking for an candidate that has strong IT and collaboration skills in order to work with our IT leaders and managers to oversee the translation of business needs into effective IT processes and technical solutions by stimulating, shaping demand and measuring its business value.
What You’ll Do for Us
- Directs the planning and delivery of IT projects and services to the business and manages the relationship between IT and the Operating Unit leadership. Directs the business demand process by anticipating, identifying, influencing, and prioritizing business needs for IT services and technologies in assigned business areas and functions.
- Establishes and manages strategic relationships with IT and business partners to ensure IT plans and development efforts are aligned with business goals.
- Collaborates with IT leadership peers in the definition, development, and maintenance of IT strategic and operational plans that support the company mission, values, and business objectives.
- Builds and enables a team of managers who establish effective and trusting working relationships with all their business and IT partners.
- Maintains an expert knowledge of business processes, industry trends, and IT systems to better communicate IT capabilities and support IT solutions development.
- Oversees the communication, development, and management of the IT project portfolio in areas of responsibility.
- Plans and conducts regular governance meetings with business leadership to review IT initiatives and ensure clear communication of business demand and service delivery capabilities.
- Educates the assigned business area members as needed on IT processes, methodologies, constraints, and capabilities.
- Proactively identifies project risks and issues; helps determine necessary escalation, mitigation, and resolution steps.
- Prepares project roadmaps, directs the planning and approval phases of IT projects, and manages the IT project portfolio for the assigned business areas and functions
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
- 10+ years in an IT leadership role that includes proven ability to deliver IT solutions for a global consumer goods business
- Proven experience in IT strategic planning, organization, development and execution.
- Experience in business process re-engineering and standardizing business processes across entities.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritize business needs and allocate resources by appropriately balancing internal capabilities with external consultants is essential.
- Beyond technical knowledge, outstanding communications skills and Agile methodologies with a collaborative, team-based leadership style.
- Demonstrated success in leveraging technology to meet business objectives with a pattern of consistent delivery and continual process improvement/
- Forward-thinking with the ability to anticipate and communicate potential impacts of emerging technologies.
- Results-orientated leadership with strong negotiation, responsiveness, collaboration, and consensus building experience.
- Ability to manage change with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A current understanding of IT management disciplines and the technical tools in use and the ability to keep up with and assess new technology and provide leadership in applying it strategically to business.
- Must have proven large scale project management experience with the ability to influence direction of key initiatives and work with the IT and business teams to structure and staff efforts.
Base Salary: $160,098 to $189,684
Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, are offered.
