As a Finance Business Manager, you’ll provide financial support across the full P&L of our Licensing & Retail (L&R) operating unit and help drive the success of the business. By providing accurate analysis and insights, leading key operational processes and championing efficiency and effectiveness in the core L&R financial reporting processes, you will ensure the business has the right information and focus and enable our team to effectively drive successful business outcomes. We are looking for someone who is results-oriented and has a drive to develop and improve processes through standardization and digitalization.
Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:
- Provide operational financial support to our Licensing business.
- Manage 3-5 Licensee financial audits each year.
- Coordinate tax forms and applications for international licensees. Engage with global TCCC tax team to request forms by Dec 31st to ensure timely collections in Q1.
- Track and provide management reporting for partner marketing contributions.
- Manage the overall collections process, that includes implementing the collection process, follow up on outstanding payments and co-own collections tracker for all regions.
- Partner with Platform Services Team to ensure forecasting and budgets are correctly reported, key drivers & variances are known, and non-standard business needs adequately addressed.
- Support targeted projects by providing modeling and analysis support as well as ongoing financial tracking and reporting..
- Work with leadership to understand what business analytics are needed to support the operations and partner with relevant groups to develop ongoing reporting.
- Ensure key OPEX reports are provided to business leaders (e.g., related to purchasing and invoicing).
- Support the team in navigating and, where possible, improving effectiveness and efficiency of key back-office processes and systems for L&R (e.g., accounts payable, eCommerce shipping cost analysis).
- Ensure accurate and efficient business control support for inventory, quarterly and supplies counts.
- Demonstrate high collaboration and adeptly build value-based relationships within the L&R business and with partners in Corporate Finance and Platform Services.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree Finance, Accounting or related field AND 5-7 years of related work experience.
- OR Master’s degree in Business Administration or Finance AND 3-5 years of related work experience .
Related Work Experience:
- Experience in Retail, Footwear, Apparel and/or Licensing industries is a plus.
Functional Skills:
- Strong skills in all Microsoft Office applications, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience analyzing and modeling full P&Ls .
- Strong data analytical skills including advanced Excel and BI capabilities .
- Experience with collaborating and influencing cross-functional teams is needed .
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects with a flexible and innovative approach.
- Working knowledge of key internal data resources (e.g., SAP, Hyperion) is preferred.
