- As an Automation Engineer you will contribute on preventive maintenance within the area and participate in/lead continuous improvement teams to eradicate equipment and functionality losses. You will contribute to troubleshooting and daily problem solving on one of the printing presses within the factory.
- The position is based in Denton, Texas

What you will do
As an Automation Engineer you will:
- Perform preventive maintenance actions and activities as assigned, including driving and creating documentation for maintenance tasks specific to equipment (work instructions)
- Have good knowledge of relationship between conditions in equipment functionality and quality demands in process
- Demonstrate good level of PM methodology within the area and contribute to continuous improvement activities in teams
- Apply knowledge learned in process area to enhance equipment functionality
- Convert knowledge into Time and Condition based maintenance routines
- Improve automation and technology knowledge through new equipment implementation
- Have PLC programming knowledge (Siemens)
- Having digital printing experience is desired. Printing experience preferred.
Who you are
We believe you have:
- Bachelor’s Degree, Technical Degree or Certification in an Engineering or related discipline or equivalent skills and experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the maintenance field, industrial/production setting; food packaging, converting industry and/or experience with high-speed industrial equipment
- Proficient knowledge in automation and PLCs
- Knowledge of PM Methodology and World Class Manufacturing, Lean Manufacturing, and/or Total Productive Maintenance
- Solid knowledge and experience in the use of maintenance tools and equipment
- Knowledge of root cause analysis and using troubleshooting methodologies
- Strong to excellent skills in general maintenance subjects such as hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical components, precision tolerances, etc.
- Able to read, understand, and utilize machine drawings and schematics (electrical, mechanical, automation)
- Excellent computer skills
- Dependable, reliable, self-motivated, detail oriented and organized
- Basic math skills, basic reading comprehension
- Experience and ability to train others in technical knowledge of equipment
- Ability to read, understand and comply with work instructions, training manuals, safety rules, and standard operating procedures
