Radiohead Brands, owner of Jimmy’s Finely Crafted Cocktail Mixers, announced that ace mixologist and beverage consultant Yangdup Lama, will be brought on board as the head of product and innovations.

Lama will serve as product evangelist for the company and will work in close association with the founding team to further strengthen its range of bar quality cocktails, as well as co-create new product lines of spirits mixers. The company desires to keep its product line fresh with new flavour launches every quarter this year, and has its visions set to grab shelves at a number of international markets soon.

Founder of the brand, Ankur Bhatia stated – “We are very excited to have Yangdup as part of team Jimmy’s. Jimmy’s has seen a phenomenal response pan India since its launch, and we want to continue to enhance the home drinking experience with more exciting variants. We are certain his expertise will be instrumental in maintaining product excellence and tailwind our global ambitions.”

Apart from being an excellent mixologist and a successful entrepreneur (as co-owner of 2 award winning bars), Lama dons many hats as a beverage craftsman. He is the propelling force behind the distinguished Cocktails & Dreams Bar School, author of a cocktail book and was presented as one of the 100 Most Influential Figures in the Global Beverage Industry in 2020, by Drinks International Magazine, UK.

More recently his bar in New Delhi – Sidecar, was ranked 16 in Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2021 and 91 by the Worlds 100 Best in 2020, a first for any Indian bar.

Talking about this new association, Lama mentioned – “I am very happy to don the mantle of head of products for Jimmy’s Cocktails. They have had a fantastic first year, and were able to burst the myth that ‘cocktails’ is limited to being a bar consumption trend. When Ankur came to me with the vision of an Indian brand that would excite consumers across the globe with its range of home-grown flavours, I jumped on the opportunity, as it aligned with my beliefs as well.”
