Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, while announcing the projects stated – “Today, Bhumi Pujan has been done for two factories in Badiyakhedi. He also mentioned that investment in these 2 plants will act as a pillar of economic growth and help in generating employment for nearly five thousand individuals.

This food plant is expected to manufacture products for famous Indian brands of ITC that include the atta brand Aashirvaad, Sunfeast biscuits and YiPPee noodles. On the other hand, the moulded fibre products facility is expected to play a huge role in contributing towards sustainable packaging as well as plastic substitution in areas such as packaging for electronic items, FMCG and the food and beverage sector.

According to the company, the Sehore facility is poised to add value to the state’s manufacturing sector and support inclusive agri-value chains. Further, ITC believes the food processing sector, which stands at the intersection of agriculture, industry and services can make a multi-dimensional contribution to the state’s economy by enhancing the competitiveness of the food value chain.”

Sanjiv Puri, ITC Chairman stated – “In line with our commitment to contribute to the socio-economic development of the state, we are now investing in two world-class facilities including the Integrated Food Manufacturing and Logistics Facility and the Sustainable Packaging Products Manufacturing Facility at Sehore. This state-of-art facility will also be a landmark in sustainability with the unit being designed to IGBC green building Platinum standards.”

Over the years, the company has strengthened its presence in Madhya Pradesh. It also has co-manufacturing units for foods and agarbattis which have been supporting local entrepreneurship.
