Indian mill Vivek Agro Foods had received the 2020 Flour Sack of The Year award. Every year Mühlenchemie, a flour treatment specialist recognizes a flour sack, whose artwork communicates the importance of this extremely vital staple food in an especially notable manner. The FlourWorld Museum, which was founded in 2008 had come up owing to the initiative taken by Mühlenchemie. The sacks are displayed at the FlourWorld Museum and the museum and the award depict a way to thank millers across the globe. Vivek Agro Foods’s artwork is an abstract expression of delight in high-quality flour and the baked goods that are produced from it.
Biren Palani, Managing Director of Stern Ingredients India presented the 2020 Flour Sack Award to Prashant Jain, Managing Director of Vivek Agro Foods. The meeting saw the presence of more than 1000 grain and flour experts from across the globe at the Digital Millers’ Conference 2021, thereby making it a worthy setting for the award presentation. Vivek Agro Foods, a mill in the Apex Mills Group is a leading supplier of wheat products in India. The company is engaged in the processing of grain for consumers into numerous products, particularly wheat bran, maida, sooji, atta, including a few more. Vivek Agro Foods has been operating three processing lines which have a total capacity that surpasses 700 tonnes per day.
The 2020 flour sack of the year is different from the previous award winners, on account of its abstract colour design, the energy and colours of which express the joy that flour as a staple food would give. It stands for life, health and prosperity. Simultaneously, the artwork symbolizes growth and positive thinking as well as the passion that millers have for their products. The design reflects on the happiness that is brought to the consumers by baked goods, either by way of enjoyment of eating or through the life and health-giving properties of flour.

The artwork communicates a passionate brand message that expresses everything flour stands for.” We wish to recognize this creativity and so we chose Vivek Agro Foods as the winner of the 2020 Flour Sack Award.”
Similar to those winners who had been winning in the previous years, Vivek Agro Foods flour sack would receive a place of honour in the Hall of Fame of Müh-lenchemie’s FlourWorld Museum. This museum is present in Wittenburg and it houses the world’s biggest collection of flour sacks, which comprise of more than 3700 sacks from more than 140 countries.
