Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), South Asia’s largest hospitality company, in collaboration with AB InBev, the world’s largest brewer, has declared the inauguration of India’s first 7Rivers Brewpub at Taj MG Road, Bengaluru.
The first-of-its-kind brewpub with an on-site microbrewery at the hotel is the first of 15 locations to be established across IHCL hotels over the coming 5 years.
Puneet Chhatwal, MD & CEO of IHCL informed- “In keeping with its moniker as the Pub Capital of India, IHCL is glad notifying the opening of its first 7Rivers brewpub in Bengaluru in association with our partners AB InBev. From presenting global cuisines to the most recent trend in bars, IHCL has guided the way in pioneering F&B experiences for over 100 years.
7Rivers Brewpub at Taj MG Road is another such avant-garde benefaction, which we think will add an interactive spirit to the city’s lively social and entertainment culture.”
Covering about 2,700 sq. ft. of indoor space, the place depicts the synergies between the two leading agencies – IHCL’s expertise in delivering innovative F&B ideas, its culinary skills and flawless service, paired with AB InBev’s 600-year-old brewing legacy. The brewpub will provide beer influenced by the classic flavours of the region, as well as those made from the finest locally gathered ingredients and curated by experienced international and Indian brewmasters.

Crafted by world-acclaimed designers, Joi Design from Hamburg, the brewpub mixes the traditional beauty of Irish taverns with modern 21st century designs. Accompanied by the best in music and entertainment, it highlights a curated menu enriched with a blend of creative Indian cuisine and global fare, to ideally match with the distinct flavours of the craft brews. The brewpub will also soon come up with brewery tours for guests to experience first-hand the brewing process and all the craft that goes into formulating a magnificent glass of beer.
