iD Fresh Food, an Azimji Premji backed food selling store has launched an online store recently in a bid to upscale its reach to international market. The main agenda behind this step is to sell its Coffee portfolio in overseas market.
iD Fresh Food mulls over starting the overseas expansion at its best by May, this year. Company, in 2020, sold about 2 crore cups of filter coffee sourcing around 11 crore of wealth.
Brand’s filter coffee liquid is sourced directly from one of the best coffee plantations in India- Chikmagalur and Coorg in Karnataka and sold in markets of USA and UAE.
Musthafa PC, co-founder of iD Fresh Food said, “As a business operating in the fresh food industry, we see this as the right time to sell online on our own platform, adding, “Our e-commerce platform is expected to contribute about 15% to the overall business in the next fiscal.”
“We plan to launch products like batter, parotas, paneer, and curd online in select cities, given the short shelf life. Our pilot is underway and expected to go live in the next two-three months,” said Musthafa.
iD Fresh Food expects to earn turnover of Rs. 4000 crore by the end of this fiscal year. iD Fresh Food is currently supplying 65000 kgs of idli/dosa batter per day, along with ready-to-eat products like parotas, vada batter, chapatti and paneer to over 30000 retail outlets.
