HERMA has appointed Dr. Veit Rückel as the new Technical Director for the Self-Adhesive Materials Division. In his role as the specialist in packaging and product labeling, Dr. Rückel is responsible for managing all technical departments in the largest HERMA division, including production planning, production and operating technology as well as process engineering and his appointment as technical director would further result in innovation.
A graduate of mechanical engineering, Dr. Rückel was previously responsible for business operations at the Magnetec Group, an international manufacturer of nanocrystalline components that develops system solutions for the automotive, energy, safety, and industrial sectors. Dr. Rückel was responsible for the business operations of all production sites there – in Hungary, Moldova, China, and Vietnam, as well as for industrial engineering and purchasing.
Before this, the Bayreuth-born plant manager was at Walter AG, a leading German manufacturer of metal cutting tools based in Tübingen, Germany. He held further professional positions with several years in management positions at Audi and Continental.
