Godrej Vikhroli Cucina, a community by Godrej Industries dedicated to food and culinary space presented the 4th edition of the FOODFOOD Awards 2022. The awards recognised key contributions from the food and culinary industry and honoured restaurants, food destinations, excellence by chefs and restaurateurs across India.

Considered among the most credible food awards in India, the 4th edition of FOODFOOD Awards 2022 included an executive committee and an impressive grand jury consisting of celebrity chefs Ranveer Brar, Kunal Kapoor, Ajay Chopra, Amrita Raichand, Vicky Ratnani, Rakhee Vaswani, among many others.
Among the key categories, winners of the Jury Choice Awards and the Editorial Choice Awards were decided by a special jury consisting of celebrated hoteliers, restaurateurs and renowned chefs.
On receiving the Godrej Veg Oils ‘Restauranteur of the Year’ Award, Mr. Zorawar Kalra, Massive Restaurants, said, “First of all, the food industry has been through a lot and it’s important to have platforms such as these. It’s incredible to have had the entire stalwarts from the food and beverage industry, under one open sky, on a single day. The industry has been through the toughest of times during the pandemic and it’s an important industry as we contribute to 3 per cent to the nations GDP and second largest in terms of human capital in India, after agriculture. The way we bounced back shows the entire tenacity that we all as humans exhibit. The celebrations that these awards are, truly a celebration of our spirits, more than anything else. I’ve received the award but to be honest this award is for my team, the incredible people who run the show and I’m just someone who comes over to receive the accolades. Thank you”
Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi, who won the Godrej Yummiez ‘Celebrity Chef of the Year’ title, said, “It is absolutely an honor to receive the award and it’s a day to celebrate. There is nothing as a celebrity chef in life but it’s about celebrating my journey or any other chef’s journey who has worked hard to reach this level and probably someone who is inspiring many people to take up a career as a chef. It’s very important for all of them to get inspired at this hour, as many of them are shunning the option of hotel management as a career. It’s a great day for all of us.”
Godrej Yummiez ‘F & B Person of the Year’ was awarded to Mr Deepak Jeena, The Leela Ambience Gurugram Hotel and Residencies and Godrej Veg Oils ‘Best New Hotel of the Year’ had two winners, ITC Narmada & Raffles, Udaipur.
