GEA AWP has presented its expanded portfolio of valves for operating temperatures from minus 10 degrees Celsius to plus 200 degrees Celsius at Chillventa 2024 in Nuremberg. This is possible because of the new HT (High Temperature) series of GEA AWP. This means that the leading company in the development and production of valves and components for industrial refrigeration and heating systems now covers all common temperature ranges.
Fittings and components for all types of heating and cooling systems
GEA AWP develops and produces valves and components for industrial refrigeration and heating systems and machines. This includes valves that are especially designed for heat pump applications. The main products include safety valves, shut-off valves, ball valves, suction filters, and oil management valves. GEA AWP sometimes also delivers heat pumps to ice rinks or ski slopes, for hot water in hotels or example in swimming pools.
Service, needle, shut-off, and control valves now with electric actuator
GEA AWP has carried out over 6,000 test cycles with electric shut-off and control valves (“motor activated valves”). New electric shut-off and control valves are now also available for pipe outside diameters (DN) from DN 6 to DN 80. Previously, the nominal diameters ranged from DN 100 to DN 500. The electric actuator is a multi-voltage actuator that can be operated with 24 V DC or up to 240 V AC and is also available with a digital positioner system for 0-10V, and 4-20mA.
GEA provides innovative solutions that enhance production efficiency, sustainability, and product quality. Their expertise spans various processes, including heat exchange, refrigeration, dairy processing, and liquid and solid separation. GEA’s technology is integral to the manufacturing of a wide range of everyday products, from food and beverages to medicines and chemicals. With a strong focus on sustainability, the company designs systems that help reduce energy consumption, emissions, and waste, making it a vital player in industries striving for greener operations. Operating in over 50 countries and employing more than 18,000 people, GEA combines advanced engineering with customer-focused service, offering customized solutions to meet evolving industry demands while minimizing environmental impact.
