Dabur India Limited has recently announced the appointment of former Chief Election Commissioner of India and former Chairman of Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), Sushil Chandra as an Additional Director in the category of Non-Executive Independent Director with effect from today (02nd November, 2023). Chandra has been appointed as an Independent Director for a period of 5 years, subject to approval of shareholders.

A 1980 batch IRS (IT) officer, Chandra has been responsible for framing and implementation of direct tax policies of the country. As the 24th Chief Election Commissioner of India, he had helped re-engineer various processes to conduct elections during COVID-19, which put Election Commission of India on an exemplary position in the world.
