FICCI, in association with Sharjah Airport International Free Zone (SAIF Zone), Government of Sharjah, UAE, has managed to organize a targeted set of B2B meetings in Vijayawada that are intended to assist Indian companies to explore global markets by way of the UAE.
The forums gave an outlook of trade and business decisions in the Greater Middle East, Africa, Central Asia, and Russia. They also provided advice regarding how to grow businesses in the international markets and how to make use of the India-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) to enhance exports and cross-border operations.
The initiative was a strategic platform that enabled the local businesses to learn more about the advantages of doing business out of the UAE, specifically out of SAIF Zone, as it is one of the most efficient and friendliest free zones.
As per the growing role of India in international trade and investment, FICCI maintains a process of creating platforms that allow Indian businesses to become global.
The sectors of interest varied to engineering goods, food processing, textiles, logistics, IT services and trading. Some other firms showed great interest in establishing business or representative offices in the UAE in order to access wider markets in the Middle East, Africa, and Central Asia regions.
The feedbackwas such a great success, with most of the participants having one-on-one consultations with us and asking for follow-up calls about the company registration, warehousing and trade facilitation solutions in the UAE. The initiative was also welcomed as an opportune platform to cash in on the opportunities of the India-UAE CEPA to gain global presence.
