Quaker India, one of the major brands of India in the oats segment, has unveiled Do It Yourself (DIY) Brekkies, a special video series on YouTube to advocate everyday healthy breakfast consumption.
The snackable video series (1-1.5 minutes), provides various recipes to add an ‘oat-a-licous’ twist to daily breakfast dishes and will come up with more recipes in coming future. To further exhibit the delicacy and versatility of oats, the company has published a special cookbook with 30 sweet and savoury oats recipes.
Packed with twice the amount of protein, fibre and micronutrients, the product offers the most ideal way to give a kick-start to your day, granting you the nutritious energy to keep you active.
Talking about the launch, Dilen Gandhi, sr. director and category head, foods of PepsiCo India, stated- “In recent months, the consumer call for healthy foods has spiked up, which has augmented consumer adoption of Quaker Oats in one’s everyday routine. Breakfast is a vital part of maintaining routine and we are delighted to unveil DIY Brekkies that offers a wide range of tasty breakfast recipes for our viewers.”

But with activity and entertainment becoming constrained in 2020, India is stepping towards YouTube for a change of taste, with people viewing videos related to recipes and cooking at a rate more than 45% higher than 2019. We have also seen a rise in views of videos tagged as ‘restaurant style’ in the title, and how to prepare meals with limited supplies. These are Indian jugaad recipes of imagination, creativity and ingredient substitutes.”
