PepsiCo and Danone have agreed to a long-term deal wherein the former will exclusively be distributing the Evian natural spring water in Canada.
This comprehensive pact was made between PepsiCo’s division, PepsiCo Beverages Canada, and Danone Waters of America, the US and Canadian importer and distributor of bottled water brand Evian.
As per the deal, PepsiCo Beverages Canada will sell, distribute and promote the Evian across Canada starting from 1st Jan.’21.
The companies believe that this decision will further lead to an increment in the distribution of Evian and hasten up the brand’s development. PepsiCo’s presence in all key units will reportedly enable Evian to broaden its consumer reach both in retail and food service sectors.
“We are excited about this new collaboration with PepsiCo Beverages Canada”, Henri de L’Épine, CEO of Danone Waters of America stated.
He also informed- “Their extensive direct-to-store delivery system, strong selling capabilities and a complementary brand portfolio will surely boost Evian’s potential to serve our business partners who desire to offer Canadian customers extraordinary natural spring water.”
Richard Glover, President of PepsiCo Beverages Canada declared “In the bottled water category, Evian has come up as an elite and creative brand. This partnership plays a significant role in PepsiCo’s overall hydration strategy and allows us to use our distribution networks and sales capabilities to speed up the growth of Evian in the Canadian market.”
In the starting of 2020, Evian had notified the Carbon Trust has validated its operation being carbon neutral ones.
Financial details of the agreement have not been revealed yet.
