New Delhi, March 8th, 2024: Dabur India Limited has marked a significant milestone in workplace gender equality by establishing its first all-women production line at its expansive greenfield plant near Indore. This pioneering move sees a team of 20 women exclusively producing Dabur’s popular Vatika Hair Oils, designed specifically for women in celebration of Dabur’s International Women’s Day.
A special video honoring these exceptional women dubbed the ‘Vatika Women of Substance’, was released on Dabur’s International Women’s Day event to celebrate this achievement.
This initiative aligns with Dabur’s commitment to fostering diversity and empowering women in the manufacturing sector. The company plans to expand this initiative by adding 30 more women to its factory workforce shortly.

The all-women production line operates within Dabur’s Rs 550-crore greenfield manufacturing unit in Madhya Pradesh, catering to the increasing demand for natural personal care products, particularly hair oils. With a capacity to produce over 2.5 million packs annually across three shifts, this unit is poised for substantial growth.

By exclusively producing products crafted by and for women, this unit ensures a strong connection between the brand and its diverse female consumer base, while also fostering economic independence,” noted Mr. Rahul Awasthi, Global Head of Operations at Dabur India Limited.
The introduction of an all-women workforce on Dabur’s International Women’s Day celebration has led to remarkable outcomes, including a 10% increase in overall factory productivity, attributed to heightened efficiency, teamwork, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
